Large-scale construction projects within the New York, and Tri-State area—especially those tied to major infrastructure like building JFK Terminal 8—come with intense pressure. Staffing firms are expected to deliver projects on time, within budget, compliance and to meet strict MWBE participation goals. these demands created operational challenges:
The Challenge
Our client, a standard within the transportation and infrastructure industry, faced a familiar issue for major contractors: how to scale compliance and community engagement without overburdening internal project teams.
They needed:
- Reliable MWBE outreach and tracking
- Accurate payroll and workforce compliance monitoring

- Ongoing engagement with local businesses and communities
Without a coordinated system, these requirements risk delays, missed targets, and potential compliance issues.

We built and maintained a comprehensive database of MWBE and local firms, ensuring transparency and accessibility for decision-making.

The Results
Terminal 8’s redevelopment reached key milestones and was successfully completed as part of JFK’s broader transformation program:
- The $400 million expansion and modernization was completed on time, adding five new widebody gates, four widebody parking positions, and 130,000 square feet of expanded and refurbished space.
- The project became the first completed terminal redevelopment in JFK’s $19 billion airport transformation program.
- The terminal now supports increased international operations for both American Airline and British Airway.
